COVIÑAS, (D.O. Utiel Requena) is since 1965 committed to quality and respect for the land, our growers and the environment. Our wines are our heritage and an intrinsic part of our identity. We hold more than 10,000 hectares of land under vine, much of which consists of old vines, including some of the oldest vines in Spain that are still productive, at more than 100 years of age. Also 20% of our vineyard is already certified as organic. A combination of the climate and geographic location of our plots means our winegrowing is based by definition on minimal intervention. Coviñas’ commitment to its natural and social environment has a twofold objective: to adapt our activity in response to climate change and to reduce our carbon footprint.
